THE REDEMPTIVE POWER OF CHRIST FOR THE CONDEMNED AND CURSED By: Major Frank Materu

Key Scripture:

“Therefore if any man be in Christ, he is a new creature: old things are passed away; behold, all things are become new.” — 2 Corinthians 5:17

INTRODUCTION

The redemptive work of Jesus Christ stands above every human effort, every ritual, every sacrifice, and every religious attempt to save oneself. Humanity—both Jew and Gentile—was trapped under condemnation and the curse of sin. In His mercy, God made provision for reconciliation, restoration, and renewal through Jesus Christ His Only Begotten Son. This message explores how God, in His infinite wisdom, offered salvation not only to the Jews who lived under the Law but also to the Gentiles who were outside the covenant and lost in darkness.

Through the prophetic revelation provided, we see God reminding His people of His sovereign plan of redemption. He shows that although many Jews rejected Jesus, the door of salvation was opened to the Gentiles. He emphasizes that the ministry of reconciliation is still active, calling multitudes who lived under condemnation and curse into the Newness of Life found only in Christ.

The prophetic message also warns believers against turning back to old sinful lifestyles and teaches that the devil will always attempt to lure the redeemed into temptation, confusion, and compromise. But God reveals the secret to victory: obedience to the Holy Spirit, gratitude, humility, spiritual warfare knowledge, and the continuous pursuit of spiritual treasures rather than fleshly desires.

This lesson aims to offer theological depth, biblical support, and spiritual direction for every believer who has been called out of darkness into the marvelous light of Christ. It emphasizes the significance of Christ’s sacrificial mission, the role of His Blood, the power of His Name, and the urgent need to remain steadfast in faith. It also explores the dangers of pride, spiritual complacency, reprobate thinking, and compromise. Most importantly, it highlights the transformation available to every person—Jew or Gentile—who believes in Jesus Christ and receives Him as Savior and Lord.

THE EQUALITY OF JEW AND GENTILE IN CHRIST

God declares with certainty that He is the One True God who gave Jesus Christ to the Gentiles who were once condemned and cursed. This truth aligns perfectly with scripture. Before Christ came, Gentiles were alienated from God, separated from the covenants, and destined for spiritual destruction.

“That at that time ye were without Christ, being aliens from the commonwealth of Israel… having no hope, and without God in the world.” — Ephesians 2:12

Yet God, in His mercy, extended the same salvation available to the Jews to all nations. Through Christ, all people have equal opportunity to come to God.

“For there is no difference between the Jew and the Greek: for the same Lord over all is rich unto all that call upon Him.” — Romans 10:12

The prophetic message highlights that although Jesus came first to the Jews, many rejected Him. Instead of receiving Him as the Messiah, they continue to cry at the wailing wall for a Redeemer who already came. This spiritual blindness opened the door for Gentiles to receive Jesus with joy and gratitude.

Those who were once condemned now rejoice in redemption. Those who were cursed now walk in blessing. Those without covenant now have access to the Father by faith in Christ.

THE MINISTRY OF RECONCILIATION THROUGH JESUS CHRIST

The prophetic revelation emphasizes the Power of the Ministry of Reconciliation. This power is rooted in the fact that Jesus gave Himself as the bridge that reconnects humanity back to God.

“God was in Christ, reconciling the world unto Himself, not imputing their trespasses unto them.” — 2 Corinthians 5:19

Jesus’ death, burial, and resurrection opened the way for humanity to be restored to God. Without Christ’s sacrifice, all people—whether Jew or Gentile—would remain condemned and cursed.

The message reminds us that multitudes continue to experience new birth through faith in Christ. They are no longer ruled by fear but begin to grow in faith, in holiness, and in obedience to the Holy Spirit. Reconciliation is not a one-time event but a continuous spiritual journey of transformation and renewal.

THE POWER OF CHRIST’S BLOOD AND THE NAME ABOVE ALL NAMES

God reveals that there is great power in the Name of Jesus and in His Blood. The Name of Jesus is exalted above every other name.

“Wherefore God also hath highly exalted Him, and given Him a name which is above every name.” — Philippians 2:9

Demons tremble at His Name. Chains break at His Name. Salvation is found through His Name alone.

Likewise, the Blood of Jesus has unmatched spiritual power. It cleanses, protects, redeems, and purifies.

“Without shedding of blood is no remission.” — Hebrews 9:22

Through His Blood, the condemned are cleansed. The cursed are set free. The sinner becomes a saint.

Those who understand the power of His Name and His Blood are equipped for spiritual warfare and victory.

THE WARFARE AGAINST TEMPTATION AND OLD LIFESTYLES

The prophetic message warns that the devil and demons will always attempt to entice those who have been set free. They will use stress, confusion, and deception to draw the redeemed back into sin.

“Be sober, be vigilant; because your adversary the devil, as a roaring lion, walketh about seeking whom he may devour.” — 1 Peter 5:8

However, God promises mercy to those who resist temptation. But He warns against deliberate sinning. Those who intentionally sin and pretend that grace covers it will fall into spiritual ruin. They risk a reprobate mind—where good becomes evil and evil becomes good.

God commands His people to flee from such deceptive lifestyles and to stay in the Newness of Life.

TRUE SPIRITUAL GROWTH AND OBEDIENCE TO THE HOLY SPIRIT

The message teaches that those who excel spiritually are those who obey the Holy Spirit quickly and fully. Delayed obedience opens doors to temptation. Immediate obedience produces growth, strength, and stability.

“Walk in the Spirit, and ye shall not fulfil the lust of the flesh.” — Galatians 5:16

True believers prioritize spiritual treasures over earthly desires. They let go of past sins, toxic relationships, worldly ambitions, and ungodly habits. They pursue righteousness, holiness, and consecration.

————————————————————————————————————

LEAVING BEHIND THE FILTHY RAGS OF SELF-RIGHTEOUSNESS

God warns against pride in newly attained righteousness. Pride leads believers to cling to self-righteousness rather than the garments of holiness given by God.

“All our righteousnesses are as filthy rags.” — Isaiah 64:6

God desires His people to be clothed in garments washed by the Blood of Jesus—pure, white, and spiritually fragrant.

Self-righteous believers become judgmental, arrogant, and spiritually blind. True righteousness produces humility, gratitude, and obedience.

LIVING IN THE NEWNESS OF LIFE AND TESTIFYING TO OTHERS

The message concludes by calling believers to embrace their transformation and loudly testify of the goodness of God. Those who have been saved from condemnation have the responsibility to lead others to Christ.

“Let the redeemed of the Lord say so.” — Psalm 107:2

God calls His people to share the message of salvation with boldness, gratitude, and passion. He reminds them that many remain condemned because they have not heard the Truth.

Believers must serve with an attitude of gratitude and become active participants in the spiritual revolution for righteousness.
