THE ERA OF MIRACLES IS NOW By: Major Frank Materu

Key Scripture: Mark 16:17-18

"And these signs shall follow them that believe; In my name shall they cast out devils; they shall speak with new tongues; They shall take up serpents; and if they drink any deadly thing, it shall not hurt them; they shall lay hands on the sick, and they shall recover."

INTRODUCTION

The days of miracles are not a thing of the past but a present reality. The same God who healed the sick, delivered the oppressed, and raised the dead through Jesus Christ is still at work today. Unfortunately, many have been misled to believe that miracles ceased with the early church, leaving the faith of the needy hindered by human doctrines. The power of God, demonstrated through the Holy Spirit, is as real now as it was when Jesus walked the earth. Those who deny the reality of miracles today are not led by the Spirit of God but by the limitations of human reasoning.

The enemy has sought to imprison people in religious formalism, denying them access to the supernatural manifestations of God. But God is calling His people back to faith, back to the power that sets captives free. It is time to expose the lies that have kept many bound and restore the faith that God still heals, delivers, and performs wonders today.

MIRACLES CONFIRM THE WORD OF GOD

Hebrews 2:4

"God also bearing them witness, both with signs and wonders, and with divers miracles, and gifts of the Holy Ghost, according to his own will."

Miracles are God's confirmation of His Word. When Jesus ministered on earth, He did not only preach but also demonstrated the power of the Kingdom through healing, deliverance, and raising the dead. This was a testament that the Kingdom of God had come upon men.

Even today, miracles follow those who believe. God works through His servants to show His glory and power to a world that is perishing. The Church must rise again in faith and power, knowing that miracles are not an optional extra but a necessity in confirming the truth of the Gospel.

THE RELIGIOUS SPIRIT HINDERS FAITH IN MIRACLES

Matthew 23:13

"But woe unto you, scribes and Pharisees, hypocrites! for ye shut up the kingdom of heaven against men: for ye neither go in yourselves, neither suffer ye them that are entering to go in."

One of the greatest hindrances to miracles is the religious spirit. This spirit, embodied in the Pharisees of Jesus’ time, is still at work today. It seeks to replace faith with human traditions, thereby blocking the flow of God’s power. Many religious leaders teach that the age of miracles has passed, discouraging people from seeking divine intervention.

But Jesus Christ is the same yesterday, today, and forever. Those who trust in Him will see His power at work. It is time to reject doctrines that limit God and embrace the truth that His power is still available.

FAITH IS THE CATALYST FOR MIRACLES

Matthew 9:29

"Then touched he their eyes, saying, According to your faith be it unto you."

Faith is the key to unlocking the miraculous. Those who received miracles in the Bible did so because they believed. The woman with the issue of blood was healed because she had faith to touch the hem of Jesus’ garment. The centurion’s servant was healed because he believed in the authority of Christ’s Word.

Today, God still honors faith. If His people will trust Him, miracles will manifest. The problem is not with God’s ability but with man's unbelief. It is time to rise in faith and expect God to do the impossible.

GOD’S POWER IS GREATER THAN HUMAN WISDOM

1 Corinthians 2:5

"That your faith should not stand in the wisdom of men, but in the power of God."

Many people place their trust in medical science, technology, and human wisdom, rejecting the supernatural power of God. While God has given knowledge to men, He is still above human limitations. Those who put their trust in the arm of flesh will be disappointed, but those who rely on God will see His glory.

Miracles are a testament that God is not bound by human understanding. He heals diseases that doctors cannot cure, restores what seems impossible, and does beyond what the mind can comprehend.

SUMMARY

The era of miracles has not passed. God is still in the business of healing, delivering, and restoring lives. Unfortunately, many have been deceived by religious doctrines that deny the power of God. However, the truth remains that Jesus Christ is the same yesterday, today, and forever. Miracles confirm God’s Word, and those who believe will witness His power.
